Athletics Carnival

Last Thursday staff and students headed out to Bridge Road Athletics Track for the annual College Athletics Carnival.

We were blessed with some good weather on the day and our Year 12 students wore some very creative costumes, opening the carnival with a parade down the 100m straight.

Throughout the day, students participated in a range of track, field and novelty events and collected house points for their efforts. They displayed resilience, sportsmanship and endeavour throughout the day.

Below are the final results:

1st place: Reed on 2678 points

2nd place: Fitzgerald on 2548 points

3rd place: Daffey on 2416 points

4th place: Glasheen on 2338 points

Our House MVPs for Athletics will be awarded at our next full school assembly on Monday 30 May.

A special mention to Social Justice Coordinator Trish Griffin and the Social Justice Action Team for organising the World’s Greatest Shave fundraiser on the day. The team worked hard spraying hair colour and painting faces, and a big thank you to everyone who donated!
