Year 8 Humanities

Year 8 students are immersing themselves in Japanese culture as part of their Humanities studies this term.

During this unit they will learn about ancient Japan, the rise of the Shoguns, the Japanese feudal system, the Samurai and art and culture.

As an introduction students created headbands with their Katakana names, took origami lessons and completed a chopstick challenge. The lesson was thoroughly enjoyed by all and a great start to a fascinating unit.
