Pathways Education

The Pathways Department at Catholic Regional College Melton offers a range of programs and services designed to support our students’ career development.  

It aims to facilitate a smooth progression through secondary education and from secondary school to further education or employment.

Its mission is to provide students with access to information and opportunities to help them grow as individuals so that they feel confident making decisions that lead them into appropriate post-secondary education, training and employment pathways.

The Pathways Department offers the following services and programs:

  • The Careers Resource Centre, which has current literature on courses, pathway options, apprenticeships/traineeships and careers events
  • Vocational Assessment – Career Voyage vocational assessment program
  • Assistance with subject selection and course counselling
  • Work Experience/Work Placement
  • Career-development focused incursions and excursions including Tertiary Information Session (TIS), VCE & Careers Expo.
  • Assistance with job applications
  • Individual pathway planning appointments
  • VTAC presentations and assistance with applications and change-of-preference interviews
  • Distribution of weekly Careers Newsletters including job vacancies and apprenticeship opportunities
