Soup van visits for senior students

Last Friday we had the first group of students out in the city supporting the St. Vincent De Paul soup van.  Ms J Clinton and Mr M Donovan attended with 8 students from Years 11 and 12. The soup van provides free meals for the people of Melbourne that are either homeless or struggling financially. The students assist by handing out the food and by providing conversation and friendship to the clients that attend the vans. There will be 4 more visits this year.  Any donations of blankets, warm clothing , beanies, scarves or toiletries are most  welcome. These get given out on the night and are much sought after.

Cultural Diversity week – Last term

Last term we held some activities over the week to provide students with an opportunity to  experience the benefits of different cultures.  We prepared and sold Nachos, had some Italian pizzas, took part in some African drumming and watched some very impressive Japanese Karate performed by our very own students and staff.

On behalf of the Social Justice team and the Leadership team at CRC we thank you for your ongoing support provided to the various groups that we lend a hand to. In the words of Jesus “  Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers or sisters of mine, you did for me”. Matthew 25:40
