Next Generation Youth Forum

On Friday the 23rd May a small group of leadership students, ranging from Years 10-11 attended the annual Next Generation Youth Forum at La Trobe University in Bundoora.  Multiple workshops and sessions were set up in the aim of inspiring young leaders to make a difference in not only their own lives but for the world. Issues ranging from mental illness to helping the less fortunate were brought up and as a result of this, willing minds were given a marvelous opportunity to learn more about how to make a difference and what many inspiring people are already doing in the attempt to change the world for the better. One of the students that attended this seminar, Dyson Miller, said that he “found the day to be a really great opportunity to enhance our leadership qualities and put our dreams and passions together for a unique purpose.” All that went, strongly agree to this and were so thankful for the amazing chance that was given to the students by the Leadership Coordinator, Miss Laura Grech; who hopes that, with the new found knowledge and understanding, the leadership team can improve our growing community at Catholic Regional College Melton and allow us to get involved more with the problems being  faced. The forum was truly inspirational and taught that “whatever the role, make an impact” and that’s what the leadership team plan to do.
