Celebration Day 2014

Celebration Day 2014

Staff and students came together in what was a terrific Celebration Day for the College in it’s 35th year since inception in 1980.
Special thanks to Laura Grech and the Student leaders who did an enormous amount of work in both preparation and coordinating activities for the day.
We started with Mass at our local parishes, so an acknowledgement to Fr Michael, Fr Brian and Fr Fabian for hosting us on their turf.

The day was a great success, as we raised $7,800 for our chosen charities. This will be split between contributing to the purchase of musical instruments in our Sister school in Africa, Br Beausang; helping the needy and the poor during winter for the St Vincent’s De Paul Soup Vans; and helping to support Australian families suffering financially and socially after the death or injury of a family member who served our country through Legacy.

These are all such worthy causes and the above charities will be presented with the donation at our next school assembly on the 17th of July.

The pictures below tell a story of the day!
