Enrolment Procedures

Enrolment Policy

All Enrolments in the Federation of Catholic Regional College are dependent on:

1. The recommendation of your Parish Priest who attests to your support of the Church and Parish.
Support the Church and Parish by:
-Support of Catholic Family values as shown by the acceptance of the Sacraments and your attendance at Mass on Saturday/Sunday.
-Support of your Parish. 
This can be shown in various ways:
- Member of the Parish Administration Committees - Youth Groups - Fete Committee
- Social Activities
- Assistance at your Church, i.e. Reading, Choir, Eucharistic Ministers
- Assistance in your Parish, i.e. Working Bees, St Vincent de Paul Society, Participation in Project Compassion, Participation in the Justice Group, Participation in the Thanksgiving Program, Prayer Groups, Renew Groups, Assistance in school programs 

 
2. Support of the Policies of the College.


Applications that fulfil the above requirements will be considered in accordance with the following priorities:


The criteria for processing applications for enrolment into Year 7 at CRC Melton will be as follows:


  1. Catholics who live within the Parish boundaries of Bacchus Marsh, Melton and Melton South, and who attend one of the following Catholic primary schools; St Bernard’s Bacchus Marsh, St Dominic’s Melton, St Catherine’s Melton and St Anthony of Padua, Melton South.

  2. Catholics who live within the Parish boundaries of Bacchus Marsh, Melton and Melton South, and who attend non-catholic primary schools.

  3. Other students within the Parish boundaries of Bacchus Marsh, Melton and Melton South for whom there are pastoral considerations.

**Application for enrolment shall be considered by the relevant Parish Priest and the Principal of the College who will determine whether the student meets the criteria for enrolment.

Enrolment Process

Year 7 2018


Enrolment for Year Seven students begins in the November that the students are in Grade Five. The parents of students who seek enrolment at CRC are requested to:


  1. Application forms must be lodged at the College before Wednesday 30th of November 2016.

  2. Applicants are notified by mail during the fourth week of April 2016 of the result of their application.

  3. The paperwork and deposit need to be returned by Thursday 11th May 2017.

Year 7 2019 (Change in timeline and process)


Enrolment for Year Seven students begins in Term 3 that the students are in Grade Five.


  1. Application forms will be available from the College from Monday July 17th. 

  2. Applications for Year 7 2019 close on Thursday 24th August. The application must be accompanied with a photocopy of the child’s Birth certificate, Baptism certificate and an application fee of $50. 

  3. New families will be interviewed by a senior staff member during Term 3.

  4. All families will be required to attend an interview with their Parish Priest. Information regarding the interviews will be available with the enrolment package.

  5. Applicants are notified by mail of the result of their application by Friday 13th October 2017.

  6. Families wishing to accept the offer are required to confirm their acceptance by completing the Enrolment form and returning it to the College with a $100 deposit which is deducted from the first term fees. This deposit is non-refundable. The paperwork and deposit needs to be returned by Friday 27th October 2017.

Enrolment for students in other year levels involves:


  1. Completing an Application for Enrolment. The application must be accompanied with a photocopy of the child’s Birth Certificate, Baptism certificate, a copy of the student's most recent full school report and an application fee of $50.

  2. When contacted by the College, attend an interview with the Principal and local Parish priest.
